A TIPPING Point contestant has made a savage swipe at a rival player.
A question about music in 1980s caused contestants to make digs about each other in Thursday’s episode of Tipping Point.
Raj makes a risky joke[/caption] Hugh sees the funny side[/caption] Ben laughs at the awkwardness[/caption]Contestant Raj bravely joked fellow player Hugh was decades past his prime.
He roasted his rival about his age in front of the nation.
Host Ben Shephard asked: “In 1984, which band had the UK Number 1 and 2 singles at the same time with ‘Two Tribes’ and ‘Relax’?”
Raj said: “I don’t actually know, wasn’t born that year.
“I really feel like he [Hugh] does know it because he was probably in his prime.”
Ben was in stiches and Hugh saw the funny side too as he quipped: “I still am.”
Ben then asked Hugh: “Were you still in your prime in 1984?”
Hugh replied: “I was, actually.”
He answered the question correctly with ‘Frankie Goes To Hollywood’.
Later, Raj was knocked out on £1000 before the final with Hugh sitting on £2400.
He managed to bag the jackpot counter, meaning he walked away with a whopping £10,000 to enjoy as well as a mystery prize gift of tickets to a picnic concert.
This comes after Ben stripped down to his trunks for a freezing cold swim while on holiday in Cornwall.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV1.
